This is the length of the main breakwater on 31st October 2016 with a total of 528 Xblocs® of 4 m3 already implemented. It is of course worth mentioning that these first meters were mainly built on land.
Work will progress differently at sea highly depending on weather conditions. The breakwater will then be equipped with a service road, a protection wall, … for a breakwater over 3 kilometers in length as a whole at the beginning of 2021.
Underwater works are presently carried out, essentially dredging, trenching and backfilling.
