For several months now, sheet pile driving has been drawing the outline of the future P11 and P12 berths to accommodate ships on either side of this maritime structure. This is how the new docks area is beginning to be created by backfilling these sheet piles boxes.
The construction consortium is now working on the implementation of a pier cap on the head of the sheet piles to continue this building.
This concrete structure, 6,5 meters high and 2 meters thick over more than 600 m of linear space, is designed to stiffen the entire structure to support the forces generated by the future ships when they berth. This is one of the last heavy Civil Engineering stages of the site, subject to tidal fluctuations
