Due to the large volume of concrete the construction site would require, the Design and Construction Joint Venture decided from the very beginning to set up a concrete manufacturing plant with a 80 m3/h production capacity. It supplies the Xblocs® plant and also provides concrete for many other prefabricated elements.
A prefabrication workshop to manufacture these elements is now operational on site, next to the concrete plant. It now produces the scales (concrete slabs) for No.1 and 2 engineering structure supports. In parallel, the P10 construction elements production has already started with the tops to be placed on the future berth piles and then will come the implementation of the beams, of the pre-slabs, before pouring the main slab.
