have been designed following advanced studies of traffic forecasts.
This study of the traffic flows distribution all over the future platform was a decisive step in the project pre-study stage regarding the layout of the roads. For their final design and construction, dynamic modelling made it possible to specify the number of lanes, their width and their layout. The road network around Calais Port 2015 will thus be able to respond to traffic levels anticipated over several decades with a constant concern to ensure the fluidity and safety of traffic for the future customers of the port.
